New head coach of Miami Heat is Erik Spoelstra a Filipino-American

Erik Spoelstra is 37-year-old and was appointed as head coach of the National Basketball Association team Miami Heat after the resignation of Pat Riley.


Pat Riley said in a news conference that he believe Erik Spoelstra is one of the most talented young coaches in a long time. Erik was born to a Filipino mother, the former Fe Celino, and he is considered now NBA’s youngest coach.
